SWE at Pinecone | Prev. ArangoDB

2000 - 2023: I grew up in Ontario, where I graduated from the University of Ottawa with a BSc Hons in Computer Science. As part of the Winter 2023 Honours batch, I wrote and presented Semantics in Graph Databases: Extending ArangoDB's support for RDF, Ontologies, and beyond (link). The work was awarded the Cognos Prize, and is available on GitHub.

2021: I first used ArangoDB while applying for Shopify's internship program in Summer 2021. The Shopify Developer Challenge for that semester was to build an image repository to perform any kind of CRUD on images. After submitting the project, I failed Shopify's Life Story interview. So I took it to ArangoDB, presented it, and joined as an intern in Fall 2021.

2023 - 2026: I returned to ArangoDB after graduating and eventually moved to New York City. My engineering focus was on Graph Analytics, Graph Machine Learning, and GraphRAG: docs.arango.ai/ai-suite. I also built & led a team of five junior engineers, and was responsible for ArangoDB's technical partnership with NVIDIA, where I maintained embedded access. Through this partnership, NVIDIA adopted ArangoDB internally & externally (1, 2, 3).

2026 - Present: Now at Pinecone working on Agentic Search systems.
